Pluck Out
A downloadable game
Got a hot date coming up? Well, don't let your eyebrows ruin it! Those pesky hairs are running wild and it's up to you to pluck them into submission. It's a battle of the tweezers as you take on these defiant brow strands. Can you handle the pressure and get your brows looking sharp in time for the big night? It's time to get plucking!
This is a local multiplayer game where one player controls the tweezers using the controller/WASD and the other player plays as the hair trying to dodge the tweezers by moving in front of the Kinect camera.

"Pluck it Out " is a local multiplayer game where one player controls the tweezers using the controller/WASD and the other player plays as the hair trying to dodge the tweezers by moving in front of the Kinect camera. Our team consisted of Vilius Drumsta, Alex Hans, Hsuan Chao, Aleix Ramon, and myself. I worked on the programming and design aspects of the game.
The theme of the game jam was ROOTS, and I was drawn to the idea of creating a game that senses player motions. The combination of the theme and the desire to create a motion-sensing game led to the creation of "Pluck it Out".
Our goal in producing this game was to create a fun and engaging local multiplayer experience that incorporated unique gameplay mechanics. We wanted to push the boundaries of what can be done with motion-sensing technology and create a game that was both challenging and enjoyable for players.
As a team, we're always working on big ideas and trying to think outside of the box when it comes to game design. "Pluck it Out" is just an example of a playful experience and creative take on a common grooming practice, demonstrating how game design can adapt other forms of expression to deliver meaning
